My Xbox red-ringed around Christmas and I couldn't get it replaced since I voided the warranty about a year prior by replacing the disk drive after that decided to stop working, so I ain't playin' jack shit. But once I can buy a new one (rent payments be damned) I'll be borrowing just about everything I can from every friend I have.

I just bought Fallout 3: Game of the year edition, with all its expansions included I've always heard good things about this game but always forgetting to pick it up. and I have to tell you, nothing is as awesome as punching a Raider so hard that all of his appendages fly every where. (high strength, unarmed skill, with bloody mess perk and spiked knuckes). and if its a critical kill its more like a cloud of blood and the body parts are kinda hard to find. FLYING BANANAS CAN'T TALK FLYING BANANAS CAN'T TALK FLYING BANANAS CAN'T TALK FLYING BANANAS CAN'T TALK FLYING BANANAS CAN'T TALK FLYING BANANAS CAN'T TALK FLYING BANANAS CAN'T TALK FLYING BANANAS CAN'T TALK
they just want you to believe they can...
A note you find on the floor of a jail cell in the Germantown police Headquarters.

If there's ever a night you're playing and you don't feel like sleeping, go find Gary in Vault 108.

I remember playing Fallout 3 awhile back. Awesome game. I mean common planting grenades in pants is genius. It took me exactly 70 hours to beat that game with getting all of the achievements...

Ha, I never found that note. If you're doing an unarmed character, find "Fisto!" you'll thank me later.
haven't found it yet... but I have found the deathclaw scematics... this thing is awesome... I read up on this and apparently this badboy ignores DR and MULTIPLIES CRIT CHANCE BY 5! (in that case, unless you're attacking helpless wastelanders, it outperforms fisto). I'm getting criticals on this thing roughly half of the time (I started the game with 10 LUCK, and I have the finesse perk, but so far the weapon's condition is around 50% which puts crit chances at 37.5% and 52.5%(vats)) when I get the better Criticals and Ninja this thing is gonna destroy. plus, unlike Fisto, finding the extra schematics will also boost its damage. when I got everything maxed out, (not including bonuses to specific enemies gained via perks) its gonna deal an easy 94 damage, 141 on a crit and an ungodly 317 on a sneak crit that ignores DR. of course by then, because I'm ninja, as long as my weapon's condition is above 60% it will ALWAYS crit Shiskebab is a also a great melee weapon (and with my perks its damages are 144/216/486). but since it doesn't ignore DR (which is important since any enemy that would give you trouble would have high DR. I mean come on, you can't use mole rats as a reference) and I won't get a 100% crit rate, the Deathclaw gauntlet will actually dish out more damage If there's ever a night you're playing and you don't feel like sleeping, go find Gary in Vault 108.
Ha ha ha, GAAAAAARYYYYYY!!! I'll look into that. As a matter of fact, by sheer coinsidence, I stumbled on the Vault-Tec headquarters (I love combat inhibitors...) and found all vault locations and passcodes. I remember playing Fallout 3 awhile back. Awesome game. I mean common planting grenades in pants is genius. It took me exactly 70 hours to beat that game with getting all of the achievements...
I need to lay more mines. I have so many mines (~120) they are literally taking up a quater of my weight. plus they go perfect with a sneak class AND my demo expert perk

Get awesome at sneak and blow pants up with em. Its safer than using grenades on them.

FF XIII and Bad Company 2
FF, despite what I've heard in terms of negative reviews, is pretty damned fun. Though it seems terribly short. I'm at the end of chapter 7 (Cut Scene and Boss left) and I have like 13 hours of game play. Chapter 8 is the shortest chapter in the game from the looks of it and there are only 13 chapters. It's kinda depressing.
And I still suck at battlefield games. Though in a Rush game I was in fourth with the rest of my squad taking 1-3. I was in fourth because I solo'd two objectives... in the same base.

Given the list of things I despise about Final Fantasy games, knocking off about 20 hours of bullshit seems like an improvement actually.

more like 50 hours... but FF is no fun without 70-200 hours of awesome and depressing gameplay... sad to hear, that it is so short.

That's strange. I heard FFXIII was still the 50+ hour movie everyone thought it'd be.

Yeah... You hit the end of disc 2/beginning of disc 3 and play time skyrockets. Especially since you kinda have to grind CP to kill shit. I'm at the beginning of Chapter 11 now and something like 30 hours. Though that's mainly from the fact that I keep having to retry fights >> Difficulty take a huge jump in Chapter 10.

A bud told me, that he played 40 hours to follow just the story line... and since it's a FF, you need 50%-100% of the story line playtime for the sidequests... so it should be like 60-80 hours total. Well, still rather short but ok.

So far the game hasn't really had any side-quests, I've just been holding forward and pushing X a lot. Hopefully there is actually some free-roam in the game but so far it's been just as linear as everyone has said it is.
