I'm going to do a Rifftrax on High School of the Dead episode 1. No script, no redos, no mercy.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Loginhttp://www.rifftrax.com/contest I'd enter, but I don't think I could come up with good enough jokes to place well.

Right, well, I suppose that as long as I'm leading you all on, I can give you progress reports.
Currently, I have all the audio tracks combined and roughly synced. There are one or two lines that I need to replace with their original cuts, but the rest is fine. Meanwhile, I've been trying to put in dialogue syncs (lines of dialogue that the viewer can use to sync with the audio on the dvd) and add a few more jokes to help fill out the quiet stretches. This has proven problematic, as the sound quality on my recordings gets progressively worse the longer it goes on (so I have to record them all in one quick go rather than in sync with the video, like what Doomie did). What's more, an attempt to clean up some feedback backfired, and now I have to do it again. I'll work on it some more tonight and hope to get all the lines committed to the same track, with the finalizing of the sync coming tomorrow. I'll get back to you all then.

Okey-dokey, then. Do my lines sound consistent in terms of sound quality? I ask because the last file I sent you contains a mix of old and new takes.

Yours are fine, though I had to do some adjusting to get the volume levels up on some of your lines. Remember, the track will be playing over audio, so it needs to be extra loud for the audience to clearly hear it. I've also learned that trying to adjust the frequency on an audio track makes it sound sped up; yours was at a higher speed then mind, so I had to lay them over each other rather than mixing them directly (Six's was fine in this respect). In the future, I'll establish a standard frequency for recording lines from the start. I've rerecorded the additional lines and cues, so I should have more news for you by this evening regarding progress on the finished product.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Loginhttp://www.rifftrax.com/contest Never seen a riff-trax but I figure I'll enter anyway. Do we have to write jokes for all the clips or just some of them? Right now I'm having trouble with 2,8,10

*casually peeks around the corner* I'll be seeing Rifftrax Live: Reefer Madness on Tues. Here's what I submitted: Even if none of these made it in, it'll be well worth the trip to just watch Rifftrax on the big screen.
